Details: The IDCA Unarmed Stage Combat course is a 10-week, part-time course suitable for complete beginners and anyone looking to refresh or improve their unarmed stage combat skills.

Participants will learn a detailed collection of core unarmed fighting techniques and safety practices required to perform realistic and safe unarmed combat choreography. The course will focus on key elements of combat performance including fight rhythm, staging, intention, and reaction, as well as character development and motivation. The course will also cover how to effectively incorporate unarmed choreography into dramatic scenes for stage or screen.

The course includes 30 hours of guided training over 10 weeks, during which participants will learn a detailed fight routine which will be incorporated into a scene of their choice. The course finishes with a certified exam in which this fight scene is performed for an external IDCA examiner.

Time: Saturdays, 10am – 1pm

Exam Date: Saturday, 13 December 2025
