Details: This IDCA Unarmed Stage Combat 1-week intensive course covers the full content of the 10-week part-time IDCA Unarmed Stage Combat course and is suitable for complete beginners and anyone looking to refresh or improve their unarmed stage combat skills.

Participants will learn a detailed collection of core unarmed fighting techniques and safety practices required to perform realistic and safe unarmed combat choreography. The course will focus on key elements of combat performance including fight rhythm, staging, intention, and reaction, as well as character development and motivation. The course will also cover how to effectively incorporate unarmed choreography into dramatic scenes for stage or screen.

This one-week intensive course includes 30 hours of compulsory guided training, during which participants will learn a detailed fight routine which will be incorporated into a scene of their choice. The course finishes with a certified exam in which this fight scene is performed for an external IDCA examiner.
